18th of July 2008. We have been in contact with the member of the dev-team. Dev-team is the most famous team out there working on iPhone. The news is half good and half bad. The good news first. The good news is that dev-team will release a new version of their infamous PwnageTool. The new version number is 2.0 and the release will happen in the beginning of next week. The good part continues: the tools will do all the magic for 1st generation iPhones upgraded to 2.0 firmware. It will jailbreak, activate, enable 3rd party apps with Installer, enable Apple AppStore and also it will unlock the iPhone. That IS really good news!

ya tengo ganas
me acabo de comprar el iphone 3G y ya tengo ganas de poder meterle aplicaciones de terceros, pero tengo una pregunta, ¿tendré un brick si instalo después una actualización de apple?¿tendría que esperar a un nuevo jailbreak para upgradear mi iphone no?

cuando apple saque un nuevo firm 2.1 o lo que sea, no deberias actualizar hasta que saquen el jailbreak de ese nuevo firm.
De momento seguimos esperando al del 2.0
Ntonces k yo me entere. Tengo un iphone de 8gb actualizado a la 1.1.4 ¿Puedo ponerle la 2.0 sin problema? ¿Se pierde todo lo que tengo al actualizar? Gracias
8G, NO, de momento no debemos actualizar al firm 2.0 desde la 1.1.4.
Cuando se puede actualizar SI, perderas las apps y demás, pero puedes hacer un backup con iPhone PC suite y luego restaurarlas
uuu, esperando para pasar del 1.1.4 al 2.0, así que esperamos hasta el lunes.
